The short version

SubTrack is local-first. Your data is stored on this device by default. Signing in is optional, and only then does your data sync to the cloud. No bank login, no card numbers, no tracking.

What the app stores

The subscriptions, payments, categories, payment methods and settings you enter are kept in a database on your device. Reminders are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device.

If you sign in

Sign-in is optional and is provided by Google Firebase (Google sign-in or email and password). Only when you are signed in is your data also copied to your private cloud space (Cloud Firestore) under your account, so it can sync between your devices. Your synced data is accessible to you, and to the app operator only as needed to run and support the service.

What we never collect

We never ask for or store your bank login, your card numbers, or the passwords to your subscriptions. The app does not collect your contacts or your location.

No sale of data, no ad tracking

We do not sell your personal data, and the app contains no third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

Your control

You can add, edit or delete your entries at any time in the app; deletions sync too. Signing out leaves your local data on the device, and uninstalling the app removes it. You can export your data at any time from Settings → Export data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available here in the app, with the date shown at the top.
